Some things about me that you might not know
Are just the things I’d hate to be told
On one hand I can be an easy read
But then I always keep that book out of reach
It’s nothing personal
Nothing you did
Don’t get offended because I’m tight-lipped
I’ve opened up once or twice before
But the responses went and left me sore

Sometimes when I look at a map
I get this sense of fear
That it's not a page but a window pane
And this is the view from here
What if I tripped and fell into it
Well I'm sure I'd surely die
No way to fall from a mile high
And ever hope to survive

Paint me up with a new coat
Something like TV yellow
Need to look my deceptive best
To anyone from a distance
I never learned how to really trust
My privacy wouldn’t be discussed
I’m getting better got a way’s to go
Until then i’m keeping up the status quo
